Dashboard Overview

Updated 2026-04-306 min read

Understand every KPI card, alert queue, and live panel on the dispatcher dashboard so you can prioritize your daily work.

Your command center

The dispatcher dashboard is designed to give you a complete picture of fleet operations the moment you log in. Every component updates automatically — the page uses real-time subscriptions, so data refreshes without needing to reload your browser. Think of it as your morning briefing and ongoing situation monitor combined.

KPI cards

The top row shows four cards summarizing the most important metrics:

CardWhat it showsAccent color
Total Incidents (7d)Number of incidents reported in the last seven days, with a link to the full incidents listRed
Items in ReviewCount of incidents currently in IN_REVIEW status — these need your attention to move toward resolutionAmber
Photo Reviews PendingNumber of shift inspections waiting for your review, including the date of the oldest pending itemOrange
Active VehiclesHow many vehicles in your fleet are currently marked as activeBlue

Each card is clickable. Selecting a card navigates you directly to the relevant filtered list — for example, clicking Items in Review takes you to the incidents list pre-filtered to IN_REVIEW status.

TIP

Start your morning by scanning these four cards left to right. If Photo Reviews Pending is above zero, clear that queue first — it is the fastest way to catch new vehicle damage before the next shift starts.

Hero banner and alerts

At the very top of the dashboard, the Hero banner greets you by name and shows a summary of critical alerts. If there are any incidents in NEW status, the banner displays how many are waiting and how old the oldest one is. Clicking the alert count takes you directly to the filtered incidents view.

Incident queue

Below the KPI cards on the left side, the Action Queue lists all active alerts ranked by severity:

  • P0 (Critical) — New incidents that have not been triaged yet. These appear first and require immediate attention.
  • P1 (High) — Photo reviews pending and shifts missing inspections. These should be addressed within the same day.

Each alert in the queue is a clickable link that takes you to the relevant page. When there are no alerts, the queue shows a green checkmark and a "Queue clear" message.

Shift compliance card

On the right side of the main grid, the Shift Compliance card shows today's shift statistics. It tells you:

  • Total shifts scheduled or started today
  • How many shifts are missing inspection photos
  • Whether any active shifts have compliance concerns

This card helps you quickly identify drivers who may have started a shift without completing their vehicle inspection.

HEADS UP

If the missing inspection count is high, follow up with the drivers directly. Incomplete inspections create gaps in your damage tracking and can lead to disputed responsibility later.

Live driver status panel

The Live Driver Status panel appears below the main grid. It shows every driver who currently has an active shift, including:

  • Driver name and profile picture
  • Assigned vehicle (plate number, make, model)
  • Shift start time
  • Current shift duration

This panel updates in real time as drivers start and end their shifts, giving you a live view of who is on the road and in which vehicle.

Incident-prone vehicles

In the bottom row, the Incident-Prone Vehicles panel ranks vehicles by their incident count over the last 30 days. Each entry shows:

  • Vehicle plate number
  • A proportional bar showing relative incident frequency
  • The total incident count in a red badge

Clicking any vehicle takes you to its detail page. Use this list to identify vehicles that may need extra inspection attention or might be candidates for maintenance review.

New incidents panel

Next to the incident-prone vehicles panel, the New Incidents panel lists the most recent incidents in NEW status. Each row shows the vehicle plate number, driver name, incident type, and an SLA timer pill that turns from green to amber to red as the incident ages. Click any row to open the incident detail page and begin triage.

Prioritizing your daily work

A recommended daily workflow based on the dashboard:

  1. Check the Photo Reviews Pending KPI card. If it is above zero, navigate to Photo Review and clear the queue before anything else.
  2. Scan the Action Queue for P0 alerts. Open each new incident, review the details, and move it to IN_REVIEW.
  3. Review the Shift Compliance card. If shifts are missing inspections, follow up with the relevant drivers.
  4. Glance at Incident-Prone Vehicles to spot any recurring problem vehicles that might need a maintenance check or closer inspection.
  5. Monitor the Live Driver Status panel throughout the day to stay aware of who is currently on the road.

Making the most of your dashboard

The dashboard is your operational nerve center. A well-run dispatch desk means the dashboard shows: zero pending photo reviews, all active shifts on track, no unassigned incidents, and all KPIs trending stable or improving.

Recommendations:

TIP

Start every morning by checking the Photo Reviews Pending count. If it's above zero, clear it before doing anything else.

  • Watch the Active Incidents count. If it's growing day over day, incidents are being reported faster than they're being resolved — either pick up the pace or ask the owner for additional dispatcher support.
TIP

Use the live driver status card to monitor which drivers are currently on shift. If a driver hasn't started by their scheduled time, reach out proactively.

  • Check the Incident-Prone Vehicles panel weekly. A vehicle appearing here repeatedly may need a deeper mechanical inspection, not just cosmetic review.
