The jobs list
Navigate to Jobs from the sidebar to see all jobs across your fleet. The list displays each job's reference number, assigned driver, vehicle, status, number of stops, and creation date.
Use the filter and search bar to find specific jobs by status (Pending, In Progress, Completed, Cancelled), driver, vehicle, or date range.
Creating a new job
- Click Create job from the jobs list page.
- Enter the job details: a reference number or description, any special instructions, and the expected completion date.
- Add stops to the job. Each stop includes an address, a contact name and phone number (optional), and any delivery notes. You can add as many stops as the job requires and reorder them by dragging.
- Click Create. The driver receives a notification in the Fleet Go app with the job details and stop list.
If you have a recurring delivery route, consider creating a job template (save the stops and notes) so you can clone it quickly for future jobs.
Job detail page
Click any job to open its detail page, which includes:
Stops
Each stop is listed in order with its address, planned sequence, and current status:
- Pending — the driver has not arrived yet
- Arrived — the driver has checked in at the stop
- Completed — the delivery or pickup at this stop is done
- Skipped — the stop was skipped (driver must provide a reason)
Status history
A chronological log showing every status change the job has gone through, with timestamps. This gives you a complete trail from creation to completion.
Proof of completion
When a driver completes a stop, they can upload proof — a photo of the delivered package, a signature capture, or a confirmation note. These proofs are visible on the job detail page and can be reviewed by dispatchers and owners.
Proof of completion is captured through the Fleet Go mobile app. The driver takes a photo or collects a signature at each stop, and it syncs to the web dashboard in real time.
Job statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Job is created but the driver has not started it yet |
| In Progress | The driver has started the job and is working through stops |
| Completed | All stops are completed (or accounted for) and the driver has finished the job |
| Cancelled | The job was cancelled before completion |
Job tracking
From the jobs list or the job detail page, you can monitor progress in real time. The progress indicator shows how many stops have been completed out of the total. When the map_view_enabled module is active, you can also see the driver's current location on a map relative to the remaining stops.
Editing and cancelling jobs
To edit a job that is still in Pending status, open the detail page, make your changes (add or remove stops, change the driver or vehicle, update instructions), and save. Once a job moves to In Progress, stop-level changes are limited — you can add notes but cannot remove stops the driver has already completed.
To cancel a job, open the detail page and click Cancel job. Provide a cancellation reason. The driver is notified immediately through the Fleet Go app.
Dispatchers manage day-to-day job creation through the dispatcher Jobs view. Owners and dispatchers see and act on the same underlying job data.
Cancelling a job that is In Progress sends an immediate push notification to the driver. Make sure you have communicated with them before cancelling to avoid confusion on the road.
